The Connecticut Library Association recommends a minimum salary for entry-level positions requiring an MLS.

As of July 1, 2010, the CLA salary recommendation is $26.00/hour. For full-time jobs, this translates to:

  • $47,320/year for a 35 hour week
  • $50,700/year for a 37.5 hour week
  • $54,080/year for a 40 hour week

  • The CLA Jobs section is hosted by the Connecticut Library Consortium (CLC) and the list is maintained by its webmaster extraordinaire, Christine Sarrazin. Both institutions work very closely together and it was determined that having one comprehensive state-wide list best served both organizations' members. Christine updates the Connecticut Library Jobs list once a week with many, if not most, CT jobs and several out-of-state users who wish to list their available positions in CT.
